The lessons were specifically designed using a number of research-based child development approaches to education. We are firm believers that children learn best in active participatory environments. We also believe that children learn best when they have a trusting relationship with their caretakers. Our lessons and approach to this programme were designed to allow children to feel secure and form a bond with the characters.
The content was also designed to allow children to follow along without needing the assistance of their parents but also designed to help parents deal with the challenges that may arise with developmental delays. Our parent tips provide information on a range of child development topics.
As early childhood professionals, we support and promote the use of research-based curriculum and as result we used the HighScope Curriculum as one of our supporting documents.
